ENGLISH
Sometimes I just feel so lucky, that I have to think twice and wondering if it’s a dream… I had this feeling yesterday, when attending an amazing dinner at The French Embassy invited by the French Ambassador Francois Zimeray – in the best company with two of the people I love the most: my mom and dad. The dinner was a part of the current Chart Art Fair – which I don’t have any special connection for (apart from loving art) – but I do have a connection with the French Ambassador, an amazing man and great ambassador for engaging French culture with the Danish culture. Francois is a both a lawyer, politician and diplomat – and the last three years he has been the French Ambassador in Denmark, and have for sure taken this role very serious. I’ve attended many interesting events hosted by Francois – from fashion meetings with women as Nathalie Rykiel, Caroline de Maigret and Vanessa Bruno – to debates with the danish female imam Sherin Khankan and the french jewish rabbi Delphine Horveilleur debating female rights and religion. Especially fighting for women rights is a major issue for Francois. THANK YOU! Before becoming ambassador in Denmark, Francois was appointed as the French-ambassador-at-large for Human Rights, and there is no doubt, that this is an ongoing focus for him. Fighting for both human AND hereunder women rights. This was also very clear yesterday, when he had an speech during the dinner. Enhancing the fact that we can NOT be afraid of the terror-aspect, life must go on, and we need to fight for our rights, freedom, fraternity and not less: women rights.
Thank you for an amazing night – being in the best compay with my parents, but also lovely women as Stasia, Pia Allerslev and so many interesting and inspiring people from the art and architectural scene.
